In Ukraine, the right to an insurance pension directly depends on the insurance record, which is confirmed according to established norms. Before 2004, this record was documented in employment books issued when signing contracts, and later – through the electronic register.

In 2021, Law No. 1217 came into force, which introduced electronic employment books containing complete information about the employee's work achievements. To ensure the completeness of data, it is necessary to digitize the data from paper books, particularly those prior to 2004.

The Pension Fund has five years to enter the missing data into the register, with the final deadline being June 10, 2026. After that, scanned copies of employment books can be sent via the Pension Fund's web portal.

The process of confirming the insurance record does not lead to the loss of pension rights. The record before 2004 is considered based on employment books, while the record after this date is automatically confirmed based on employer reports.
