Ukraine's Social Fund: One-Time 1500 UAH Payment Excluded from Household Income Calculations
Social Fund Clarifies Rules for One-Time Payment
According to Пенсії (RSS): The Social Fund of Ukraine has issued a clarification on how a one-time cash payment will be treated for low-income families applying for state assistance. According to Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 341, dated March 18, 2026, this payment is set at 1500 Ukrainian hryvnias (UAH).
This lump sum will not be counted as part of a family's total income when determining eligibility for any state benefits. Crucially, the one-time payment is excluded from calculations of total monthly or annual taxable income. This policy ensures that receiving this support will not affect a household's qualification for other critical social payments, providing financial security for vulnerable groups.
Aid for Low-Income Households
This measure is designed to bolster support for low-income families in Ukraine, offering a vital financial resource during difficult times. By excluding the payment from total income assessments, the government aims to prevent vulnerable families from losing access to other forms of social assistance. This approach is part of broader social protection efforts in the country, where many rely on state support.
As the Social Fund implements these new guidelines, it is important to stay informed about potential changes in the landscape of social assistance. Recent discussions have emerged regarding the possibility of cancellation of certain social benefits in Ukraine this year, which could significantly impact low-income households. Understanding these developments will help families navigate their financial options effectively.
