Pension Payments Restored for Residents of Occupied and Displaced Areas

According to Пенсії (RSS): The Pension Fund of Ukraine has resumed payments to pensioners from temporarily occupied territories (TOT) and internally displaced persons (IDPs) who have completed physical identification but have not submitted a declaration stating they do not receive a pension from the Russian Federation. To continue receiving payments, the corresponding declaration must be submitted by April 1. This decision marks a significant step in supporting approximately 50,000 people whose payments were restored starting in January. This move is part of broader efforts to maintain social safety nets during the ongoing conflict.

Conditions for Receiving Payments

According to the Pension Fund, those who complete their identification in February will receive payments covering two months immediately. This means eligible pensioners who fulfill all necessary conditions can access accumulated funds, a crucial aspect of their financial security during displacement.

Residents of TOT and IDPs can take advantage of these changes by submitting their declaration within the set deadline. These measures are aimed at ensuring social protection and support for vulnerable population groups amid the country's difficult circumstances. The process is designed to prevent dual payments from both Ukrainian and Russian systems.

The resumption of pension payments for residents of occupied territories and the displaced is a vital step in providing social support for people facing hardship due to military actions.

This decision underscores the state's efforts to aid the most vulnerable segments of the population and may help improve their financial situation during this challenging period.
