First refusals at the border: who is not allowed to leave under the new rules
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine is recording refusals to cross the border for young men aged 18 to 22 who want to go abroad. In particular, this applies to those who received permission to leave during martial law. This was reported by the spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service, Andrii Demchenko.
'In these two days, there have already been several cases where guys from this age category decided to go abroad but held positions that only allow for service trips,' Demchenko explained.
It is noted that the new rules do not apply to citizens working in government service, who can only travel for official business.
To cross the border, young men need to have with them a passport and a military registration document in paper or electronic form through the app 'Reserve+'. At the same time, citizens who are wanted are also denied.
'Several citizens were refused because they are wanted,' Demchenko emphasized.
Lack of 'mass escape' of young Ukrainians abroad
The representative of the State Border Guard Service denies information about 'mass escape' of young Ukrainians abroad after the introduction of new rules on August 28. According to him, there is currently no statistics that would confirm this. Analysis shows the absence of mass excitement.
'If on the 28th we paid attention to departure, then on the 29th to the entry of this category. So we observe the movement of men aged 18-22 both for departure and entry,' Demchenko concluded.
Ukrainian border guards react to the declared 'mass escape' of young citizens abroad and point to the absence of a large flow of people in this category.
