Poland has recorded 170,000 cyberattacks in a year: Russia has tripled its pressure
According to hvylya.net: The Minister of Digital Affairs of Poland, Krzysztof Gawkowski, stated that this year the number of cyberattacks on the country's critical infrastructure has tripled, especially from Russia. In the first three quarters of 2022, Poland experienced 170,000 cyber incidents, many of which were related to Russian entities.
According to Gawkowski, between 2,000 to 4,000 cyber incidents are recorded daily in Poland, of which 700 to 1,000 require immediate intervention due to potential consequences. It is noted that Russia poses the greatest threat, attacking the country's critically important infrastructure.
'Russia's actions pose the greatest threat as they are aimed at attacking critical infrastructure upon which the stable functioning of the country depends,' Gawkowski emphasized.
The rise in cyberattacks on critical infrastructure in Poland has tripled and the focus on Russian entities presents a serious problem for the country. The authorities are taking measures to prevent such incidents and ensure cybersecurity at the required level.
