Departure of 100 thousand men from Ukraine: The Telegraph refuted

The information published by The Telegraph about the departure of 100 thousand young people from Ukraine to Poland over the past two months is not accurate. The Polish Border Guard stated that these figures do not account for individuals returning to Ukraine, as well as the fact that one person may cross the border multiple times. This was reported by Glavkom referring to the BBC.

Andrzej Jużwiak, a spokesman for the Polish Border Guard, reported that over the past two months, more than 98,500 checks were conducted on male citizens of Ukraine aged 18-22 entering Poland. Of these, more than half of these individuals left Poland, but it is difficult to give an exact number due to accounting peculiarities.

It is worth noting that the statistics may be distorted because the data does not take into account people who are temporarily abroad or plan to return. Therefore, it is not surprising that the number of those leaving and returning from Poland does not match almost twice.
