According to Главком: Polish border guards have intercepted a significant shipment of dried red fly agaric mushrooms. The incident occurred at the Dorohusk border crossing, where officers from Poland's National Revenue Administration confiscated over 34 kilograms of the dangerous fungi. The cargo, which originated in Ukraine and was destined for Latvia, was discovered in four boxes during a routine inspection.

Ukrainian Police Detain Members of Drug Trafficking Ring

In a related development, police in Kyiv have arrested six members of an interregional drug trafficking group linked to illegal activities. Authorities seized prohibited substances with an estimated total value of 4 million Ukrainian hryvnias. The organizer of this drug operation was identified as a 33-year-old resident of Kamianske in the Dnipropetrovsk region, who recruited five accomplices from Kamianske and Kyiv.

These incidents highlight the growing challenge of smuggling dangerous substances, which poses serious public health risks. The seizure of such a large quantity of psychoactive material demonstrates the active efforts of law enforcement agencies in combating the illegal drug trade. The parallel investigations in Ukraine and Poland underscore the international dimension of this issue and the necessity for cross-border cooperation in security and drug control. Fly agaric mushrooms, while sometimes associated with traditional practices, contain psychoactive compounds that are controlled substances in many countries.
