Over 50% of Ukrainian pensioners receive less than 5000 hryvnias: data from the Pension Fund

The Pension Fund of Ukraine revealed the size of pensions for Ukrainians. According to the PФU press service, most pensioners receive small amounts. More than half receive less than five thousand hryvnias per month, and only one in seven receives more than ten thousand. According to the Pension Fund: 'Overall, the average pension was 6436.79 hryvnias, which means an increase of almost 650 hryvnias compared to the previous period.' As of October 1, 2025, the distribution of pensions is as follows: up to 3000 hryvnias receive 3.7% of pensioners, from 3001 to 4000 hryvnias - 31.6%, from 4001 to 5000 hryvnias - 20.5%, from 5001 to 10000 hryvnias - 29.1%, and over 10000 hryvnias - 15%.
