Accusations and Investigation Details
The accused in the murder case is 53-year-old Mykhailo Stselnikov, who was detained in the Khmelnytskyi region on the night of September 1. The investigation established that Stselnikov acted as an agent of Russian special services and, from 2024 onward, transmitted information about Ukrainian Armed Forces units in Lviv. Following the killing, law enforcement discovered a Makarov pistol with a silencer, used in the crime, hidden in a forest. In mid-December 2025, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) located this specific weapon. The murder investigation is complete, and the indictment has been sent to court, with a preparatory hearing scheduled for April 27.
