FSB prepares provocations in TOT: how the occupiers stage Ukrainian terror attacks
Russian special services are staging provocations in the occupied territories aimed at the civilian population to manipulate the situation and create the perception of 'Ukrainian terror attacks'. During one such provocation in Luhansk, a booby-trapped Bluetooth speaker exploded, resulting in a man's leg being amputated. Russian propaganda spread the belief that a song by a Ukrainian band was playing from the speaker, trying to appear as if there was a 'Ukrainian trace'. Local residents believe that a grenade activated during a family quarrel could be the cause of the explosion. There are also opinions that this was an FSB setup, as a special unit arrived in the city before, which is involved in organizing provocations against local resistance. Their goal is to create an image of Ukrainian forces as a threat to the peaceful population. In the occupied territories, a process of Russification is also taking place, with 'language development' classes established to replace Ukrainian words with Russian ones. The aim of these actions is to instill the Russian language in children and eliminate Ukrainian identity. There are also plans to create a youth Stakhanov movement to engage students in employment at industrial enterprises and in pseudo-competitions, indicating the occupiers' attempts to revive Soviet practices among the youth. Ukrainian observers claim that Russian special services have intensified provocations in temporarily occupied territories to create the illusion of Ukrainian terror and raise tensions among the local population. Russification and attempts to localize the Ukrainian language indicate attempts to annex the territory and impose Russian propaganda.
