According to glavcom.ua: A diplomat from Russia in Bucharest received an unexpected summons from the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on November 14. The reaction of Romanian officials was sharp regarding the violation of the country's airspace by a Russian drone on November 10, 2025. The findings of debris confirmed the involvement of the Russian drone in incidents near the border with Romania, where Ukrainian civilian infrastructure was affected.

The Romanian side expressed protest over the violation of the country's sovereignty, noting serious threats to the safety of its citizens and the region. Romania emphasized its right to defend its territory through political measures and sanctions, but together with its allies, it has the capabilities to manage such complex situations.

«However, Romanian citizens were not under direct threat due to the actions of the Russian Federation. Romania, together with its allies, is ready to manage any risks and continues to cooperate with partners in the European Union», - stated the Romanian Foreign Ministry.

Preparation for possible conflict at the border

It is reminded that on the night of November 11, during another Russian attack on the Odessa region, a Russian-made drone was shot down on the territory of Romania, which borders Ukraine. The Romanian Ministry of Defense reported the detection of several groups of drones near the border with Ukraine, which prompted the country to raise its air defense.

But despite the preparedness, planes from Romania faced difficulties due to weather conditions - thick fog complicated the patrolling of airspace.
