SBU announces suspicion against the torturer from LNR: he cut a Z on the forehead of a prisoner

Militant with the letter 'Z' on his forehead
СБУ оголосила підозру кату з ЛНР: він наніс зображення літери Z на лоб в'язня.

The Security Service of Ukraine has identified yet another Russian militant suspected of war crimes against Ukrainian prisoners of war. His name is Volodymyr Polupoltinnykh, commander of enemy units in eastern Ukraine. The SBU claims that a participant of the '6th separate motorized infantry Cossack regiment of LNR' actively participated in the torture of Ukrainian prisoners of war, including personally cutting the letter 'Z' on the forehead of one of them.

Polupoltinnykh is a resident of the Luhansk region who joined the militants back in 2014. He has been charged with violations of the laws and customs of war, which is a direct violation of international law. Such actions clearly contradict international norms regarding the treatment of prisoners of war.

It is documented that during one of the tortures, he cut the letter 'Z' into the forehead of a Ukrainian prisoner with a knife.

Additionally, intelligence has discovered and detained a young resident of the Kremenchuk district, who worked for the Russian special services, spying on the movement of Ukrainian troops across the central regions of the country. His arsenal included a mini-camera at a railway section, allowing the Russian special services to obtain real-time information about the movement of the Ukrainian armed forces' armored vehicles.

These news reiterate the aggressive actions of Russia against Ukraine and the importance of the diligent work of Ukrainian security services in detecting and halting espionage activities and crimes against soldiers.
