SBU strikes on Russia's oil and gas infrastructure

According to Главком: The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has conducted long-range drone strikes on two key facilities in the oil and gas sector of the Russian Federation. The targets were the seaport of Temryuk, located in the Krasnodar region, and the Orenburg gas processing plant, which is the largest gas chemical complex in the world.

A fire occurred at the Temryuk port, causing two tanks containing oil products to ignite over an area of about 2 thousand square meters. 70 personnel and 18 units of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. This incident further highlights the risks associated with oil and gas infrastructure facilities in Russia.

Strategic consequences for the gas industry

The Orenburg gas processing plant, which processes 37.5 billion cubic meters of gas annually, was also affected due to a gas fire in the pipeline of the installation 3U-70. This plant holds strategic importance for the country's gas industry.

According to an informed source in the Security Service, the SBU continues systematic strikes on oil and gas sector facilities in Russia, indicating an intensification of actions by Ukrainian forces in this direction. These strikes aim to damage Russia's military and economic infrastructure.

These events indicate an escalation of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, particularly in the area of oil and gas infrastructure. Strikes on key facilities may have serious economic consequences for Russia and underscore Ukraine's increasing ability to carry out operations far from its borders. Such actions could alter the balance of power in the region and impact energy security in Europe.
