Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk receives over 67 thousand zlotys gross each month, most of which consists of pension payments. This information became known after the publication of the financial declarations of Polish politicians for the past year. This is reported by InPoland referencing documents from the Polish Sejm.
How much does Donald Tusk earn
According to the published declarations, the average monthly income of the head of the Polish government is about 67,500 zlotys gross.
Of this amount, approximately 38,000 zlotys comes from pension payments, which Tusk receives from the European Commission and the Polish Social Insurance Institution (ZUS). The rest of the income consists of the salary as a Sejm deputy and remuneration for the position of Prime Minister.
The documents also indicate that the head of the government does not own residential property or a car.
What assets did the Prime Minister of Poland declare
In the financial declaration, Donald Tusk declared over 700 thousand zlotys in bank accounts.
Among movable property, a Grand Seiko GMT watch from 2016 worth over 10 thousand zlotys was mentioned. The declaration also states approximately 1 thousand zlotys in cash.
At the same time, there is no information about significant loans or other debts in the documents.
What income did Jarosław Kaczyński declare
The leader of the Law and Justice party, Jarosław Kaczyński, earned an average of over 27 thousand zlotys per month last year.
In addition to income, the politician declared a share of a house with an area of 150 square meters in the Żoliborz district of Warsaw. The property's value is estimated at more than 2 million zlotys.
Kaczyński also has savings amounting to over 363 thousand zlotys. As was the case with Donald Tusk, the declaration does not contain information about significant debts or financial obligations.
The published documents confirm that the incomes of both politicians are generated from official sources and are under the control of Polish financial oversight authorities.
It should be noted that Poland is preparing a large-scale reform of the sick leave payment system. The government is considering the possibility of fully transferring the payment of periods of absence from work from employers to the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS).
