Breast Cancer Diagnosis Announced by X-Men Actor
Tyler Mane's Fight Against Breast Cancer
According to РБК-Україна — Lite: Tyler Mane, the actor recognized for his performances in 'X-Men' and 'Halloween', has been diagnosed with breast cancer. While uncommon, this disease affects men in roughly one percent of cases. On the 15th day of his chemotherapy regimen, Mane shared a home video documenting the loss of his beard as a side effect of treatment.
By the 18th day of treatment, the actor decided to shave off his beard entirely, which he confirmed in a post.
“Day 18 chemo update! Worst day ever! Not really, but it felt like it. Take care of yourselves, stay strong!” Tyler wrote.
Despite the challenges, the actor remains optimistic. In his video, he remarked:
“We knew this would happen, but damn. Hair and nails are fast-growing cells, like tumors, and that’s what chemo targets. Rene showed me photos from our wedding to remind me that I didn’t ALWAYS have a beard. But it’s a sad day for me. I can’t wait for it to grow back.”
