Tram service suspended in Kharkiv on October 27, 2025: reason and duration

In Kharkiv, on October 27, 2025, from 9:00 to 17:00, tram services were partially suspended on Saltivske Highway and in Saltivskyi Lane. As reported by the Department of Construction and Road Management of the city, the reason was the repair of tram tracks. This is reported by Tribun.

Changed tram routes

During the repairs, public transportation will operate on updated routes:

  • Tram No. 6: from the turnaround circle “Kharkiv-Passazhyrskyi Station” via Yevhen Kotlyar St., Poltavskyi Way, Serhiyivskyi Square, Pavlivskyi Square, Constitution Square, Heroes of Kharkiv Ave., Koshkin St., Heorhiy Tarasenko St. — to Machinobudivnykiv Park.

  • Tram No. 8: from the turnaround circle “Odeska St.” via Byron Ave., Morozova St., Heorhiy Tarasenko St., Molokhna, Defender of Ukraine Square, Heroes of Kharkiv Ave., Academician Pavlov St., Semyhradskyi Entrance, Virynska St., Moiseivska St., Shevchenka — to “Zhuravlivskyi Hydropark.”

To ensure connectivity with Saltivske Highway, a temporary bus No. 8 has been launched, which operates on the route:Saltivske Highway (602nd microdistrict) – Saltivske Highway – Academician Pavlov St. – Heroes of Kharkiv Ave. – Oleg Hromadskiy St. – “Defenders of Ukraine” metro station – Oleg Hromadskiy St. – Defender of Ukraine Square – Heroes of Kharkiv Ave. – Academician Pavlov St. – Saltivske Highway (602nd microdistrict).

When will the service resume?

Tram services are planned to resume after the completion of track repairs, approximately on the evening of October 27. The city authorities urged residents to consider the changes when planning their trips and to use alternative routes.

Earlier, we reported that in Kharkiv there will continue to be free public transport. The city authorities do not plan to cancel the benefits introduced during the war. This was reported by the mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhiv.
