Fuel sales in Crimea restricted to 20 liters: reasons for the decision
According to glavcom.ua: The Gauleiter of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, announced the strengthening of fuel sales restrictions on the peninsula. Now the volume of fuel sales at petrol stations has been reduced from 30 to 20 liters, acknowledging the problem of fuel shortage. This has led to issues with gasoline sales not only in Crimea but also in Russian regions, where authorities are already striving to stabilize the fuel market through imports and additional measures.
A decision has been made to limit the volume of fuel sales - no more than 20 liters per person. At the same time, public transport, social facilities, utilities, and emergency services are fully supplied. Information about organizing stable supplies of the required fuel volume to the territory of the republic will be announced by the end of the day on October 3.
The problem of fuel shortage is deepening, and it is known that many stations in Ukraine do not have the capacity to sell gasoline. The Russian authorities, hearing about the crisis, turned to fuel imports and support for production. Currently, duty-free fuel imports from China, South Korea, and Singapore are planned, as well as an increase in supplies from Belarus and the use of additives to stabilize the market.
