Ukraine Has Pre-Identified 500 Targets in Belarus as a Deterrent
Statement from Ukraine's Military Commander
According to Главком: Ukraine is prepared to respond if Belarusian forces enter the war on Russia's side, according to Robert Brovdi (also known as Madyar), Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He stated that Ukrainian defense forces have already pre-identified the first 500 strategic targets on Belarusian soil. This information was reported by Glavkom.
Brovdi also addressed strikes on Russian oil refineries, specifically noting that the Syzran refinery was halted after an attack on May 21. That strike was the ninth out of thirteen refineries hit during May. He commented:
“The ninth of thirteen refineries pecked by the Freedom-Loving Ukrainian Bird in just May has stopped working-Reuters, take that as your intelligence briefing. Of course, it’s not fatal; everything gets repaired. But damn, it’s telling, symbolic, and purely in the Lavrushkin style: systematic and consecutive strikes.”
Core Missions to Dismantle Russia's War Machine
Brovdi also outlined four fundamental objectives:
- Stab the golden antelope-continue the methodical destruction of the Kremlin’s oil and gas revenues;
- Dismantle the wormy military-industrial complex-knock out weapons factories and supply chains;
- Wormy air defense downfall-massively burn out the enemy’s air defense systems;
- Detox the worm-increase the negative balance of enemy personnel using drones on the battlefield, aiming to eliminate 40,000–50,000 invaders per month.
Amid these statements, Belarus launched joint military exercises with Russia on May 18, which involve deploying tactical nuclear weapons in field conditions. However, no increase in hostile equipment or troops has been observed near the Belarusian border. Border guards also recorded an attack drone entering Ukrainian territory from Belarus, and two reconnaissance drones were spotted along the border in the Zhytomyr and Rivne regions.
Meanwhile, Alexander Volfovich, Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus, claimed at a Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) meeting in Moscow that Ukraine is allegedly conducting active reconnaissance and provocations at the border. These events highlight rising tensions and an escalating situation between Ukraine and Belarus.
Brovdi’s statements underscore Ukraine’s readiness to counter potential threats from Belarus, signaling a possible further deterioration of regional security. The joint Belarus-Russia drills and increased military activity along the border are only raising the stakes, which could have serious consequences for Ukraine and neighboring countries. The international community must closely monitor this situation, as actions by both sides risk triggering a broader escalation of the conflict.
As tensions escalate, the possibility of a Belarusian offensive looms larger. Recent military exercises and the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons alongside Russian forces have raised concerns.
