Ukraine will produce 50% of weapons: Shmyhal spoke about new credit mechanisms
Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal emphasized the importance of supporting the domestic defense industry during a meeting on financing. He noted that work has already begun on developing effective financing mechanisms for weapon manufacturers.
'We are taking the necessary steps for this. The focus of the meeting is on developing effective credit mechanisms for weapon manufacturers to fully execute state defense contracts.'
In addition, the creation of a consortium of state banks to provide financing to defense companies has begun. The government is also actively working on insuring military risks to attract private investments, both domestic and foreign. After the meeting, a working group was established to quickly develop proposals for improving credit procedures.
The Ukrainian defense complex plays an important role in strengthening the country and executing defense contracts. The development of domestic military production is key to the state's plans for creating a modern and independent army.
