According to glavcom.ua: Yuliya Starodubtseva completed her performance at the WTA 500 tournament in Ningbo, losing to Belinda Bencic in the 1/8 finals. In the first set, the Ukrainian won 7:5, but then the Swiss gained an advantage in the second (6:4) and third sets (7:5).

The match lasted 3 hours and 32 minutes, making it the longest in Starodubtseva's career, exceeding her previous record in a game against Frenchwoman Jacquemot at the tournament in Madrid in 2025. It is worth noting that Elina Svitolina decided to cease her performances until the end of the current year due to psychological exhaustion from constant matches.
