Ukraine is hit by rain and frost: where and when to expect a cold snap

On Thursday, October 2, cloudy weather with occasional rains is expected. The forecast for today from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center is reported by the information portal 'Glavcom'.

Meteorologists predict light rain in the northern regions, most of the central areas, and the Kharkiv region. The wind will be predominantly northeast at a speed of 5-10 m/s.

Regarding temperature, at night it is expected to be 1-6° above zero, with zero temperatures at ground level in the western regions. During the day, the temperature will fluctuate from 5 to 10°. In the highlands of the Carpathians, there may be brief showers in the form of wet snow, with temperatures ranging from 3° above zero to 2° below zero.

In the Kyiv region and the capital, cloudy weather is expected with possible rain. The wind will blow from the northeast at a speed of 5-10 m/s. The temperature at night will be 1-6° above zero, and during the day 5-10°, in Kyiv it is expected to be around 5° above zero at night and 7-9° during the day.

Earlier, meteorologist Natalka Didenko noted that October will bring more sunny and warm days. 'There will still be warming, October has high degrees and sunshine hidden in store. But let's not forget to dress warmly and carefully monitor the road when driving - there will be fogs!', - she emphasized.
