According to hvylya.net: This year, future doctors were first allocated to budget places in internships using the electronic ranking distribution system (ERDS), which was created on the Diya.Engine platform, the Ministry of Digital Transformation reported.

According to the agency, starting from August 1, interns began their practice in medical institutions across the country, and from September 1, they started the theoretical part of their training at higher education institutions.

'The electronic ranking distribution system automatically calculated the competitive score and rating of graduates based on their academic results and personal preferences. Graduates with higher ratings had a wider choice, each could submit up to five applications for desired places,' the Ministry of Digital Transformation explained.

The ERDS operates on the Diya.Engine platform, which is a low-code platform for rapidly creating state registries and digital services. Thanks to standardized components of Diya.Engine, ministries can easily create and modernize digital services without the need for development from scratch.

Distribution of budget places for interns

During the main distribution, 2,738 graduates received budget places, and another 60 were included in the final queue. The most interns on a budget will study in the following specialties: dentistry - 959 people, pharmacy - 793, internal diseases - 657, anesthesiology and intensive care - 375.

According to the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the most interns were sent to medical institutions in Kyiv, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Odesa, and Sumy regions. Among the top higher medical education institutions are Lviv National University, National University of Health Protection of Ukraine named after Shupyk, Ternopil National Medical University, Zaporizhzhia State Medical University, and Odesa National Medical University.

This year, for the first time in Ukraine, future doctors were distributed to budget places in internships using the electronic ranking distribution system. To participate in the distribution, candidates used the Diya.Engine platform, which simplified and accelerated the process itself. This allowed graduates with higher ratings to have a wider choice and more opportunities in selecting desired places for their internships.
