Electricity consumption is growing in Ukraine: reasons and regions with outages
According to hvylya.net: In Ukraine, a consistently high level of electricity consumption is being observed. According to data from NEC 'Ukrenergo', on October 14, the load practically did not change compared to the previous day.
The main reasons for the increased consumption are related to weather conditions. In cloudy weather, solar power plants operate less efficiently, and the drop in temperature leads to greater use of electric heaters ahead of the heating season.
Last night, the maximum level of consumption exceeded the figures of the previous day by 2.1% due to the general cooling. Further Russian attacks on energy infrastructure continue to threaten the stability of the system.
'The need for rational energy use remains critical. Citizens are urged to refrain from turning on several powerful electrical appliances simultaneously from 16:00 to 22:00', - emphasizes 'Ukrenergo'.
Consumers are advised to follow updates on the pages of regional energy companies, as the situation in the energy system may change depending on needs and network conditions.
Ukraine continues to struggle with high demand for electricity, caused by weather conditions and threats to the energy system. Authorities urge citizens to be cautious in electricity consumption and avoid overloading the network during peak consumption hours.
