Assets Worth Nearly 5.8 Million UAH Confiscated from Settlement Council Head in Rivne Region by HACC
Appeals Chamber of the HACC Upholds Ruling
According to САП: On June 9, 2026, the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) affirmed a prior decision issued by the HACC on November 25, 2025, ordering the seizure of assets belonging to the head of a settlement council in the Rivne region. The confiscated assets, valued at almost 5.8 million UAH, will be forfeited to the state treasury.
The court determined that the official’s assets were unjustified and subject to forfeiture. The property seized includes:
- A residential house spanning 230 square meters;
- A land plot of 831 square meters located in central Rivne, valued at nearly 4.2 million UAH;
- A boat worth approximately 1 million UAH;
- A land plot of 0.25 hectares;
- A specialized cargo vehicle.
These assets were purchased in late 2019 under the name of the official’s mother-in-law. The court dismissed the defendants’ appeal in its entirety. The investigation into these assets was initiated based on materials from the Main Department of the National Police in the Rivne region, while the lawsuit was filed using evidence provided by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP).
