Naftogaz advises how to choose a gas boiler: 4 criteria for savings

As the cold weather sets in, more and more Ukrainians are thinking about updating their heating systems. The choice of a gas boiler affects the comfort in the home and the size of gas bills.

Experts from the gas supply company 'Naftogaz Ukraine' recommend approaching this issue thoughtfully, paying attention to the energy efficiency of the equipment. 'A gas boiler is the heart of your heating system,' the specialists note. 'The model you choose determines how much heat you will get from each cubic meter of gas.'

Among the key criteria for selection, it is worth noting the following:

• Efficiency (coefficient of useful action). The higher the coefficient, the more effectively the boiler converts gas to heat, ensuring lower costs.
• Power. 1 kW for every 10 sq. m. of living space.
• Material of the heat exchanger. A copper heat exchanger is reliable and provides better heat transfer.
• Modern technologies. Flame modulation and 'smart' functions help automatically regulate the boiler's operation.
