Frontline Update

According to Главком: A senior lieutenant of Ukraine's Defense Forces, using the call sign Alex, reports that Russian troop advances have slowed significantly in recent months. According to him, offensive operations have effectively ceased across most sectors. The enemy cannot deploy armored vehicles in attacks, as 'any use of armor for offensive purposes is impossible-they simply don’t have it available.' Under these conditions, the only remaining resource for assaults is infantry, which the Russians 'don’t even bother counting and continue to treat with extreme negligence.'

Russian Losses and Strategic Plans

The officer also highlighted severe Russian casualties, which verified data shows far exceed Ukrainian losses. He emphasized that

“the loss ratio is now impossible to measure; the enemy’s losses are simply colossal.”

Despite this, Russia’s political leadership is planning further offensives, preparing to mobilize more personnel by expanding conscription efforts.

Russian forces have been ordered to seize as much Ukrainian territory as possible by the end of April. The primary goal of the aggressor is to use these gains for propaganda statements on May 9, claiming an ability to sustain a prolonged war.

These remarks from the senior lieutenant underscore a critical situation at the front, where Russia’s lack of successful offensive actions may point to problems in its military strategy and resources. Rising losses and the inability to use armored vehicles in attacks highlight the challenges facing the Russian army. At the same time, the Kremlin’s plans to expand mobilization indicate an intent to continue the conflict despite heavy casualties. This suggests the war will be protracted and could lead to further escalation in the region.
