Ukrainian Soldier Killed in Donetsk Region One Day After His 25th Birthday

According to Главком: On December 3, 2025, Ukrainian defender Andrii Nashora, known by the call sign Canada, was killed in combat in the town of Rodynske, Donetsk region. He suffered fatal wounds during the battle. Born on December 2, 2000, in Dubrovytsia, Rivne region, he had celebrated his 25th birthday just one day before his death.

Andrii attended local School No. 2 and graduated from the State Tax University in 2021. He began serving under contract with the National Guard of Ukraine in 2019, initially stationed in Sarny, and later transferred to Lviv in 2025. In his final years of service, he was assigned to the 4th Separate Unit of the Omega Special Purpose Center.

Remembering Andrii

Following his death, Andrii was laid to rest in his hometown. He was posthumously promoted to the rank of Junior Lieutenant and awarded the Order for Courage, Third Class, as well as a medal from the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. He is survived by his parents, sister Liliia, uncle, and aunt.

“I loved going to the forest with my brother, taking walks together. When he was studying in Kyiv, I would visit him for two or three hours, and we would talk the whole time. When he came home from service, we would sit in the kitchen with Mom and just chat. He was very wise and always found a way out of any situation. We had so many plans and unfinished business. But even so, he accomplished more than anyone could have. My best brother is no longer here, but he remains forever in my heart, in every breath.”
