Winter Support of 1000 UAH: When to Apply and When the Money Will Arrive

A program called "Winter Support" has started in Ukraine, and in the first days, Ukrainians submitted more than a million applications for a one-time payment of 1000 UAH. This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, citied by the publication Ekspres. 

Who Can Receive the Payment

The aid is available to all citizens of Ukraine who are on the territory of the country at the time of the application. The assistance is one-time, does not require additional conditions, and can also be arranged for children. Ukrainians who are abroad and stateless persons cannot apply.

The application is processed through the Diya app, and the money is credited to the National Cashback card. The user needs to go through standard data verification and select an account for payment.

How to Apply

• log in to the Diya app;

• go to the Services section – Winter eSupport;

• fill out the application;

• select the recipient – yourself or a child;

• indicate your bank account;

• confirm your stay in Ukraine and send.

For those who do not have a cashback card, it needs to be obtained from the bank – after that, the account will be automatically confirmed in Diya. You can also apply at the Ukrposhta branch.

When Will the 1000 UAH Be Transferred

The money is expected to arrive within 10 days after the application is submitted. Zelenskyy emphasized that applications must be submitted by December 24. According to him, if necessary, the government will ensure additional funding, and last year over 14 million Ukrainians benefited from the program.

The president emphasized that "the funds will be available, and they will be credited to the National Cashback card", and also thanked the Diya team for the stable operation of the system during peak loads. He noted that the payment does not affect subsidies and is an additional form of support for families.

The funds can be used until June 30, 2026.
