The government will allocate 1 billion UAH for resilience centers: how this will change community support
Resilience as the foundation of community support: a state model of social service
According to Міністерство соц. політики: During the Western Ukrainian Forum "Resilience Centers – the power of experience and the energy of the future", Deputy Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine Inna Solodka shared important information. She emphasized that the service for building resilience is becoming a key tool for supporting community residents during wartime and crisis.
This service is a continuous support system within the "How are you?" program and is provided through the Resilience Centers in 305 communities. More than 1500 specialists have already received special training to assist people in restoring resources and overcoming stress.
Project Development
To strengthen the role of communities in the delivery of this service, the government on November 19 approved a resolution to launch an experimental project until June 2026. In 2026, it is planned to allocate 1 billion hryvnias for the development of resilience centers and support for specialist teams. This is an important investment in the strength of people and communities.
"Resilience is a skill that can and should be developed. This is where the strength of our communities and the future of Ukraine lies," concluded Inna Solodka.
The forum, organized by the Ministry of Social Policy with the support of UNICEF, the Ukrainian Educational Platform, and the NGO "VGC Volunteer", covers 9 regions of Ukraine.
Ukraine is implementing a new model of social service aimed at building resilience in communities through Resilience Centers and training specialists for this purpose. This area of development is focused on strengthening communities, the state, and society, emphasizing the resilience of people in times of crisis.
