According to ХВИЛЯ: An intense cyclone advancing from the Black Sea will impact eastern and southern Ukraine on September 23, bringing prolonged heavy rainfall, strong storm winds, and chilly nights. The regions expected to experience significant precipitation include:

• Zaporizhzhia
• Crimea
• Kharkiv
• Donetsk
• Luhansk

Meteorologist Natalka Didenko highlights that on the day of the autumn equinox, these areas will face steady and intense rainfall starting early morning and continuing throughout the day.

Temperature and Wind Conditions

Storm winds from the north and northeast are expected to reach speeds of 15-22 m/s across eastern Ukraine. Kyiv will likely avoid heavy rain, although light showers may occur later in the day. Nighttime temperatures will drop to between +6 and +9°C in the western and northern regions, including Vinnytsia and Kropyvnytskyi. Meanwhile, southern, eastern, and Dnipropetrovsk areas will experience milder nights around +10 to +15°C.

Daytime temperatures will generally range from +12 to +17°C across most regions. The warmest conditions are forecasted for Donetsk and Luhansk, where highs could reach +19 to +23°C. In the capital, temperatures will hover around +7 to +8°C overnight, rising to approximately +15°C during the day.

Meteorologist Natalka Didenko notes that early forecasts predict pleasant and stable weather conditions for Ukraine in the final days of September and into early October.

This means that following the brief cold spell, the country can expect a return to more favorable weather.
