Gasoline in Ukraine may rise to 70 hryvnias: what is happening in the market
Price increase for fuel in Ukraine: forecast and reasons
According to experts, the price of A-95 gasoline may rise from 58.72 UAH to 62-70 UAH per liter already from October this year, while diesel fuel may increase from 55.87 UAH to 65-70 UAH per liter. The reason for this is the restriction on imports of Indian oil products, many of which are produced from Russian oil. A rise in excise taxes is also expected from 2026, which will also affect fuel prices.
Experts emphasize that despite rising prices, the market remains more stable compared to last year. The National Bank of Ukraine predicts that fuel prices will rise by 8% in 2026 and by 6.9% in 2027.
'There are certainly grounds for raising prices for oil products under various pretexts, and in an unreasonable manner. Note: prices at gas stations have not decreased so far, even though oil has become 15% cheaper since June,' noted energy expert Hennadiy Ryabtsev.
A significant increase in fuel prices in Ukraine is forecasted starting from October this year due to restrictions on the import of Indian oil products made from Russian oil and increased excise taxes. Despite this, the market remains stable compared to last year, but price increases are anticipated in the coming years, according to forecasts from the National Bank of Ukraine.
