Survey Results on Donald Trump

According to ХВИЛЯ: A survey conducted by Public First among over 10,000 respondents in the USA, Canada, and Europe revealed that Europeans consider Donald Trump's return to power more significant than the elections of their own leaders. The research was conducted from December 5 to 9 and revealed interesting differences in attitudes towards political leaders in different countries.

Differences in Attitudes Towards Trump

In Germany, for instance, 53% of respondents consider Trump's return more important than electing Chancellor Friedrich Merz. In the UK, this figure is 54%, where respondents deem Trump's return more significant than the rise of Keir Starmer. In France, 43% of those surveyed believe Trump’s victory is more meaningful than Emmanuel Macron's election. Meanwhile, in Canada, 40% of respondents think Mark Carney's victory is more significant than Trump's return.

Moreover, the survey results indicate that the majority of respondents in Germany, France, and the UK view Trump as stronger than their local leaders. Specifically:

  • 74% of Germans
  • 73% of French
  • 69% of Britons

expressed this opinion. However, 60% of Canadians consider Mark Carney stronger than Trump. In Ukraine, there is also some skepticism regarding the actions of European leaders, with only 11% of French believing that Brussels has handled Trump well, and 16% supporting Macron's actions concerning relations with Washington. In Germany, 24% of respondents approved Merz's performance.

Sebastian Reid, commenting on the survey results, noted: 'These results show how significantly Trump has shaped the political discourse over the past year, not only in the USA but worldwide.'

This data indicates that Trump's return to power is perceived by Europeans as an important factor that could impact global politics.

The results obtained highlight the increased interest among Europeans in political events in the USA and their potential impact on the international arena. In light of recent political trends and global challenges, Trump's return could become a crucial aspect in shaping the foreign policy of European countries and their relations with the USA. These findings also suggest that political leaders in Europe may face growing competition for the attention and trust of citizens compared to strong figures on the international political stage.
