Lviv discussed electricity supply for hospitals with the government: what was decided
Meeting of the Mayor of Lviv with government officials
According to Главком: The Mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, held a meeting with government officials, including Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, acting Minister of Energy Artem Nekrasov, and Minister of Health Viktor Liashko, regarding the provision of electricity to critical infrastructure facilities in the city. A part of the hospitals in Lviv was left without electricity supply, and the municipal electric transport was completely stopped.
Restoration of electricity supply
Andriy Sadovyi noted that as of now, electricity supply to some critical infrastructure facilities has already been restored. He emphasized that there is an understanding of the problem both at the city level and at the national level. The mayor also commented on the decision to 'balance' electricity, comparing ventilators to electric kettles, which, in his opinion, was 'not the wisest'. At the same time, he expressed hope that the problem had been heard and that work was already underway to correct it.
This meeting took place against the backdrop of the worsening situation with electricity supply in Ukraine, which is the result of military actions and attacks on the energy infrastructure. The importance of ensuring hospitals have electricity is critical, as it directly affects the provision of medical services. The situation in Lviv may serve as an example for other cities that are also facing similar challenges during crisis conditions.
