Heating season in Ukraine: almost 50% of the population is already receiving heat

The heating season in Ukraine is already in full swing. According to Vice Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine Oleksii Kubel, even more than half of the population and over 70% of social infrastructure facilities connected to centralized heating are receiving heat.

'We are considering various scenarios for the further development of events in order to be able to respond effectively to any challenges. Currently, our focus is on the availability of reserves, fuel stocks, the continuous operation of Resilience Points, and the physical protection of energy facilities. We work on this every day,' emphasized Oleksii Kubel.

The unyielding work of the team involved in connecting and developing distributed thermal generation, such as cogeneration plants and modular boiler houses, is one of the main priorities. They provide communities with energy stability even under challenging conditions, including massive shelling.

Currently, 1.8 GW of distributed generation is already in operation, and the work to expand capacities is ongoing. Despite attempts to hinder the heating season, active efforts are being made through joint efforts with communities, regions, and relevant ministries to ensure stable heat supply during this period.

In response to the needs of society and the provision of comfortable conditions during the heating period, the government is actively working on the development and support of the heating supply system, ensuring that the country's inhabitants have the necessary conditions and energy security.
