Paying the fine does not protect from being searched: who is at risk of re-imposition
Human rights activist Natalia Gnatik notes that paying the fine does not always guarantee the removal of conscripts from the search list. She explained that while paying the fine may help resolve the issue for those who have broken the law only once, for those who systematically violate, this approach may be ineffective.
'For someone with a single violation – online fine payment is effective. In the case of systematic violations, this method may be ineffective,' emphasized the lawyer.
After paying the fine, the fate of each conscript can unfold differently. Some quickly arrange for exemptions or get deferrals, while others remain on the search list. The goal of citizens is important – removal from the search list, while the military registration and enlistment offices aim for mobilization, not relying solely on fines as the main tool.
Paying the fine may temporarily alleviate the situation for conscripts in search, but solving the problem requires a more comprehensive approach, especially for those who systematically violate military norms.
