Pensions for miners in 2025: who will receive at least 7 thousand hryvnias
In 2025, some Ukrainian workers may receive a minimum pension of at least 7,08 thousand UAH. This is stated in Law No. 345-VI, which facilitates the pension provision conditions for miners and workers engaged in underground work.
Preferential pensions for age are granted to those who work in underground or heavy jobs classified as particularly harmful. This category also includes workers of emergency rescue services and mining construction enterprises.
To receive a preferential pension, one must have a certain work experience: - men - at least 25 years, including 10 years in underground work, after reaching the age of 50; - women - 20 years of experience, including 7.5 years in specified occupations, after 50 years of age. The minimum pension for miners who worked underground is 80% of their salary. It cannot be less than three living minimums for non-working individuals. Therefore, the minimum guaranteed pension reaches 7,08 thousand UAH.
Confirmation of the right to a preferential pension
To receive a preferential pension, it is necessary to present a work record book, a certificate of working conditions, and a copy of the enterprise's order with the results of the workplace certification. It should also be noted that age supplements are not provided to everyone: the Pension Fund has established strict limitations. The preferential pension for miners is an important social protection for workers engaged in underground or heavy jobs, allowing them to receive a minimum pension amount and ensure their well-being in retirement age. The benefits provided by legislation aim to develop social protection for workers who provide important and often dangerous types of labor.
