Over 250 Resilience Centers Join Forces: Nationwide Psychological Support Initiative Launches
National Resilience Forum
According to Міністерство соц. політики: The National Resilience Forum brought together more than 250 Resilience Centers from across the country. The event focused on expanding psychosocial support systems within communities and transitioning resilience-building services from a pilot project into a nationwide framework with standardized guidelines. Organizers also reviewed the project’s achievements over the past two years.
Throughout the day, over 450 participants engaged in thematic sessions covering key topics such as:
- regulatory and legal frameworks
- digital transformation
- community outreach for service delivery
A special recognition was given to Resilience Center staff, community representatives, regional military administration officials, and partner organizations who work daily to strengthen local support systems.
Forum Organization and Key Statements
The forum was organized by the Ministry of Social Policy in cooperation with the Coordination Center of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Mental Health UA initiative, with backing from UNICEF Ukraine and the World Health Organization Ukraine. This event was part of the nationwide mental health program "How Are You?" ("Ty Yak?") - an initiative launched by First Lady Olena Zelenska.
“People are the state’s greatest value. Amid a full-scale war, the support system must be redesigned to meet today’s challenges and needs. Resilience is moving from a personal experience into state policy and concrete solutions that each community can tailor to its own social landscape.”
Yulia Svyrydenko, Prime Minister of Ukraine
Denys Uliutin, Minister of Social Policy, Family, and Unity of Ukraine, stated: “We are approaching a stage that will determine the system’s future development. It has been established but remains uneven. Our goal is to make this service nationwide with consistent quality for everyone by adopting a state standard that sets uniform rules.”
The forum marked a significant milestone in advancing Ukraine’s psychosocial support system, especially given the challenges posed by the war and its aftermath. Establishing common standards and a nationwide support network can greatly improve service accessibility and quality, helping to strengthen community resilience.
The recent National Resilience Forum highlights the importance of enhancing support systems, which aligns with ongoing initiatives such as specialized training for staff at Resilience Centers. This training aims to equip personnel with the necessary skills to provide effective community support, ensuring that the framework discussed at the forum translates into tangible benefits for those in need.
