Russian shelling paralyzed the railway: which trains are delayed
On Saturday, November 8, the movement of long-distance trains was significantly complicated in some areas of Ukraine due to shelling by Russian forces. Damage to infrastructure led to power outages at several stations and damage to the contact network, resulting in the operation of diesel locomotives, which added delays to the trains. Passenger trains are experiencing significant delays, and suburban services in Poltava and Kharkiv regions may be delayed by 1.5-2 hours.Ukrzaliznytsia is trying to minimize the negative consequences of the shelling by doing everything possible to reduce train delays.On Saturday night, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine using drones and missiles, causing severe damage to energy infrastructure and emergency power outages in some regions. In Dnipropetrovsk region, one woman was killed during the drone attack, ten people were injured, a house was destroyed, cars were damaged, and rescuers had to evacuate 28 people and extinguish a fire.
