The passenger rights organization AirHelp has published its annual global airport ranking, which evaluated punctuality, passenger satisfaction, and service quality. This information was released in reference to Euronews in the news from "Glavkom".
Cape Town International Airport in South Africa topped the ranking with high scores for punctuality and passenger satisfaction, surpassing 250 airports from 68 countries around the world. Among European airports, Bergen-Flesland Airport in Norway was found to be the best, achieving 9th place overall and first place for timely departures. Other European airports that received high scores include Bilbao Airport in Spain, airports in Norway and Iceland, and Luxembourg Airport ranks highest among European airports for passenger satisfaction.
Ranking methodology
According to AirHelp's methodology, 60% of the weight is given to punctuality indicators, where flights are considered punctual if they depart or arrive within 15 minutes of the scheduled time. The remaining 40% is distributed among passenger ratings of service, cleanliness, restaurants, and airport facilities. In gathering user ratings, AirHelp surveyed over 13,500 travelers from 58 countries from June 2024 to May 2025.
