A group of researchers from Greece, Malta, and Italy has found a large freshwater reservoir under the floor of the Corinthian Gulf, which has existed for 800 thousand years. This lake is located at a depth of 20 to 700 meters, and its formation is linked to glacial periods and falling sea levels.
