Ukraine and Moldova Forge Alliance to Combat Domestic and Gender-Based Violence
International Conference Held in Chisinau
According to МВС: A two-day international conference took place in Chisinau, organized by the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova. Attendees examined the role of international bodies in supporting reforms, collaboration between law enforcement and civil society, and strategies for preventing gender-based and domestic violence. This joint initiative highlights the shared challenges faced by both nations in the region.
The event was attended by senior officials and law enforcement representatives from Ukraine and Moldova, as well as international organizations including the GS Foundation, the OSCE, and the Council of Europe. The Ukrainian delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Kateryna Pavlichenko, who also chairs the Board of the Ukrainian Association of Women in Law Enforcement and coordinates the 15th Region of the International Association of Women Police.

Discussions centered on implementing the UN Security Council's Resolution 1325 and tackling the prevention of gender-based and domestic violence, including conflict-related sexual violence.
