IMF to allocate 8.1 billion dollars to Ukraine: what the new program entails

According to Мінфін: Ukraine and the IMF have signed an agreement regarding a new funding program for five years. According to the agreement, Ukraine will receive support amounting to 8.1 billion US dollars. Ukraine's Finance Minister Sergii Marchenko expressed gratitude to the IMF experts for their fruitful cooperation, which will contribute to macro-financial stability and reforms in the country.
Currently, the agreement still needs to be approved by the IMF Executive Board. Under the new program, the Government of Ukraine undertakes to maintain stability in the financial and economic spheres, to promote economic recovery and reforms to improve the living standards of citizens.
