Ukraine, the United Kingdom, Canada and Sweden demand Iran's consent to arbitration
The United Kingdom, Canada, Ukraine and Sweden are demanding that Iran agree to arbitration in the dispute related to the downing of the passenger plane of the 'International Airlines of Ukraine' over its territory in January 2020.
This is stated in a joint statement from the International Coordination and Response Group for the victims of flight PS752, as reported by 'European Truth'.
The arbitration dispute is initiated under the Convention on Combating Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Civil Aviation, the statement says.
The plane was shot down 'by two ground-to-air missiles, launched illegally and intentionally by members of the air defense unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran'.
