The occupying Feodosia city 'court' issued an unlawful 'verdict' against the nurse and journalist from Crimea, Irina Danilovich. The girl was sentenced to 7 years in a general regime colony.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine condemned Danilovich's 'verdict,' according to the ministry's comment.

At the end of April 2022, Danilovich was abducted by Russian security forces and detained in the Simferopol pre-trial detention center. Subsequently, she was charged with 'illegal possession of explosives.' The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that this accusation is already a 'traditional' fake used by the Russian occupation authorities against Ukrainian activists.

During her detention and throughout the court proceedings, numerous instances of moral and physical pressure against Danilovich were recorded, as well as complete disregard for the necessity of providing medical care.

'We call on the international community and Ukraine’s partners, including within the framework of the International Crimea Platform, to continue to put pressure on Russia with the aim of the immediate release of all Ukrainian citizens illegally detained by the occupying regime in Crimea and to impose sanctions on officials involved in the persecution of Ukrainian citizens,' the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized.

Danilovich was sentenced to seven years in a general regime colony and a fine of 50,000 rubles (15,000 UAH).

She was accused of illegally acquiring and possessing explosives in a glasses case. She denies her guilt. She claims that the explosives were planted on her during a search by FSB officials. They were unable to obtain confessions of treason and cooperation with the SBU.
