Unbreakable Spirit and Resilience

According to МВС: The Open Cup of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in kettlebell sport took place in Kyiv. This competition was part of the MIA project Rehabilitation and Recovery, which brought together 365 participants. Among them were 119 war veterans and combatants with injuries. The event attracted both men and women, with 55 and 310 participants respectively. A special category included 27 adaptive athletes. The competition featured 11 weight categories, with kettlebells weighing 16 kg, 24 kg, and 32 kg.

I want to wish every participant that at these competitions you demonstrate your best qualities-strength, endurance, character, and the will to win. You are an example of resilience for all servicemen and citizens of our country. Each of you has already proven your courage in the toughest trials, and today, by your example, you inspire others not to give up and to move forward with confidence. Thanks to you and people like you, Ukraine has been, is, and will remain a strong, free, and independent state,”

Team Results

In the team standings, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine took first place. The Military Institute of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv came in second, while the National Police of Ukraine secured third. These competitions became a significant event for all participants, highlighting the importance of physical activity and unity in society.

The Open MIA Kettlebell Cup not only showcased athletic achievements but also served as a platform to support veterans and combatants. Such events aid in the rehabilitation and social adaptation of military personnel, while underscoring the role of physical activity in strengthening both health and morale. The competition also stood as a symbol of unity and solidarity amid the challenges facing the country.
