Restoration of Transport: Ukraine Increases Bus Imports
In the first five months of 2025, Ukraine imported 539 buses (including minibuses) worth $25.9 million, reported Ukrautoprom.
Of this number, 161 buses were new, while the remaining 378 were used. The new buses cost $8.2 million, used ones - $17.7 million.
The largest supplier of new buses was Turkey, which delivered 137 units to Ukraine for $5.9 million. This accounts for over 85% of all new buses.
In the used bus segment, Poland was the leader, from which 132 units were imported for $7.9 million. This is almost 35% of all used buses imported into Ukraine.
Overall statistics show that Ukrainian importers prefer used buses, which make up over 70% of all imported vehicles in this category. At the same time, the average cost of a new bus is about $51 thousand, while that of a used one is $47 thousand.
The import of buses indicates the need to update the vehicle fleet after military losses and the gradual restoration of passenger transportation in Ukraine.
According to Ukrautoprom, over five hundred buses were imported into Ukraine in 2025 for a total of nearly $26 million. The popularity of used vehicles among importers indicates their ability to meet the demand for updating the country's vehicle fleet.
