Temporary Restrictions on WOG Stations Due to Missile and Drone Strike Danger

According to Главком: Facing the risk of missile and drone attacks, WOG has imposed temporary restrictions across Kyiv and its surrounding region. All gas stations in the city of Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast will be completely closed during the night of July 1–2, 2026. These measures will be in effect from 11:00 PM on July 1, 2026, until 7:00 AM on July 2, 2026.

Starting July 1, 2026, the WOG network is also adjusting operating hours in several other Ukrainian regions. The special schedule applies to filling stations in:

  • Sumy Oblast
  • Chernihiv Oblast
  • Kharkiv Oblast
  • Zaporizhzhia Oblast
  • Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
  • Kherson Oblast
  • a portion of stations in Poltava Oblast

Over the past 24 hours, four filling stations in Chernihiv region sustained direct hits.

Andriy Podorvan noted that 'Russian strikes on gas stations in Chernihiv region have become almost a daily occurrence.'

This underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgent need for safety precautions. WOG's restrictions are designed to protect customers and staff during the threat of armed attack.

These limitations represent a critical response to mounting security risks in Ukraine, particularly in areas frequently targeted by attacks. Implementing such measures helps reduce dangers for people using fuel station services. At the same time, this development may signal an escalation in hostilities and the need for preparedness in the face of emerging challenges.

As the threat of missile strikes intensifies, the impact on transportation is becoming increasingly evident. Recent reports indicate that significant delays in train services are affecting travelers across Ukraine. This situation highlights the broader implications of ongoing military actions and the urgent need for vigilance as the country faces heightened security challenges.
