Iron MP called for the dismissal of Yermak: published the text of the petition
MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak published a petition demanding the dismissal of the head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak. In his video address the politician stated that Ukrainians finally have to get a chance to ‘vote’ for the person who actually influences state decisions but has never received a mandate of trust from society.
Petition against Yermak: what Zheleznyak proposes
According to the MP, the publication of the NABU with recordings of possible corruption schemes in the energy sector, defense, and other sectors raised serious doubts about the transparency of the President's Office's work.
The text of the petition states that:
-
the published materials undermined the trust of citizens and international partners;
-
Ukrainians cannot tolerate abuses during the war;
-
the actions of the head of the PO go beyond his powers;
-
it is impossible to simulate the fight against corruption by dismissing a few officials;
-
restoring trust in the state system can only be achieved by changing the head of the PO.
Zheleznyak emphasized that the petition requires the president to make a decision on the dismissal of Yermak, as he stated, he is the one who 'formed the system that allowed for the emergence of large-scale schemes'.
What Zheleznyak said about Bankova's reaction
The politician does not rule out that the PO will try not to register the petition but stated that if it is refused, he will submit ten more. He urged citizens to support the initiative, emphasizing that Ukrainians risk significantly more than he does by ‘signing the petition’.
Zheleznyak added:
«If previously such appeals were afraid to be registered even by the opposition, today Ukrainians are demonstrating quite a different courage».
The MP is confident that the petition will quickly gather 25 thousand votes and force the authorities to react.
In conclusion, he promised to publish the link to the petition immediately after its official publication.
Recall that the head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak announced the detention of a group of scammers who tried to fraudulently get 'employed in a high position' in the President's Office by posing as its representatives.
