The Ministry of Justice of Poland is considering new technologies for monitoring repeat offender drivers. Among them are electronic monitoring bracelets and facial recognition systems. These measures will help to identify offenders who evade serving sentences for violating court restrictions on driving vehicles.According to Justice Minister Waldemar Żurek, the new technologies could be a more effective solution than imprisonment. The use of electronic monitoring will allow the state to save money spent on keeping people in prisons. There are also plans to check rental company clients for court restrictions to avoid providing cars to individuals with driving limitations.
