The largest training center for Ukrainian servicemen, named Camp Jomsborg, has been opened in Poland. According to the Ministry of Defense, this center can train up to 1,200 military personnel at the same time.
'The training center, established with the support of European partners, including Norway, will provide training for the Defense Forces and enhance the sharing of combat experience between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and NATO. Here we will be able to share with partners, including developments in the application and counteraction of drones' - reported Lieutenant General Yevhen Moysyuk.
Representatives of the defense agency noted that the decision to create the training center was made in May 2025. The center is located at one of the military training grounds of Poland and is part of NATO's support for Ukraine.
Currently, 250 Norwegian instructors are already at the training center, and soldiers from Estonia and other allied countries are expected to join.
The role of the Camp Jomsborg training center in Poland is to train Ukrainian military personnel, strengthen cooperation with NATO, and exchange experience in the field of defense.
